Last Friday, June 5, 2026 was the 10th anniversary of Alan and Priscilla’s celebration of their 30th anniversary. That celebration was staged at the Paul Masson Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California, where they had been married 30 years and 4 days before (June 1, 1986).
The celebrating couple were surrounded by family and friends, many who were there on that day in 1986, some of whom they hadn’t even met yet. And of course technology played a big part.
In the proud tradition of the Macworld Netter’s Dinner (also started in 1986), Alan and Priscilla led a technology survey of their guests. Questions ranged from what mapping technology people used to get to the event (mainly Google Maps) to how they watched TV (a fair number still received Netflix DVDs in the mail). And there was an Easter egg.
